Installation requirements for ESFR sprinkler

1. The fire sprinkler must be installed after the system pressure test and flushing are qualified.

2. During the installation of the sprinkler, the sprinkler shall not be disassembled or changed, and it is strictly prohibited to attach any decorative coating to the decorative cover plate of the sprinkler and concealed sprinkler.

3. The sprinkler shall be installed with a special wrench, and it is strictly prohibited to use the frame of the sprinkler for screwing; When the frame and splash tray of the sprinkler are deformed or the release components are damaged, the sprinkler with the same specification and model shall be replaced.

4. Sprinklers installed at places vulnerable to mechanical damage shall be provided with protective covers.

5. When installing the sprinkler head, the distance between the splash tray and the ceiling, door, window, hole or obstacle shall meet the design requirements.

6. Before installation, check that the model, specification and application site of the sprinkler meet the design requirements. When the system adopts concealed sprinkler head, the elevation of the water distribution branch pipe and the opening size of the ceiling shall be accurately controlled.

7. When the nominal diameter of the sprinkler is less than 10mm, a filter shall be installed on the main water distribution pipe or water distribution pipe.

8. When the sprinkler splash tray is higher than the bottom of the nearby beam or higher than the web of the ventilation pipe, drain pipe and bridge with a width of less than 1.2m, the maximum vertical distance between the sprinkler splash tray and the web of the beam bottom, ventilation pipe, drain pipe and bridge shall meet the requirements.

9. When the width of beam, ventilation pipe, drain pipe and bridge is greater than 1.2m, the additional sprinkler shall be installed below its web.

10. When the sprinkler is installed near the partition that does not reach the top, the horizontal distance and the minimum vertical distance between the sprinkler and the partition shall meet the requirements.

11. The distance between the splash tray of the ESFR sprinkler and the top plate shall be 150 mm~360 mm. The distance between the splash tray of the vertical early suppression fast response (ESFR) sprinkler and the top plate shall be 100mm~150mm.

12 The relative position of the obstacle at the top plate and any sprinkler shall make the vertical distance (H) from the sprinkler to the bottom of the obstacle and the horizontal distance (L) from the edge of the obstacle meet the requirements. When the requirements cannot be met, one of the following requirements shall be met.

1) When the width of the solid obstacle at the top plate is not more than 0.6m, sprinklers shall be installed on both sides of the obstacle, and the horizontal distance between the sprinklers on both sides and the obstacle shall not be more than half of the required sprinkler spacing.

2) For non solid building components at the top plate, the horizontal distance between the sprinkler and the side edge of the component shall be no less than 0.3m.

5.2.13 The distance between the early suppression fast response (ESFR) sprinkler and the obstacles under the sprinkler shall meet the requirements. When the requirements cannot be met, the width and position of obstacles under the sprinkler shall meet the requirements.

14. Obstacles under the vertical early suppression fast response (ESFR) sprinkler can be ignored when meeting any of the following requirements.

1) The width or diameter of the lower chord of the roof bracket or truss with transparent abdomen shall not be greater than 10cm.

2) The width or diameter of other individual building components shall not be greater than 10cm.

3) The width or diameter of individual pipes or trunkings shall not be greater than 10cm, or the total width of multiple pipes or trunkings shall not be greater than 10cm.
